E. High School Championships! CSU is Huge!

Last year at EHS the Massachusetts team and CSU surprised a lot of people by taking 5 of 7 gold medals, winning the relay for the first time in 25 years and having 5 athletes finish in the top 10 overall for the weekend. However, that seemed to set the tone for things to come! Even with all the JO kids taking part this year the results were even better. CSU was huge! Corey Stock won the classic and skate races and Hilary Rich won the sprint and was 2nd in the skate race. On the boys side, Chris Stock won the classic and was 2nd in the skate race and sprint. Isaac Hoenig was 2nd in classic and Jackson Rich was 2nd in the sprint. An all CSU relay team of Chris Stock, Hilary Rich, Isaac Hoenig and Corey Stock won a very exciting relay which came down to the last leg as Corey moved the team from 15 sec. down at the tag to first place by the finish! Another Mass relay team with 3 CSUers (Jackson Rich, Olga Golovkina, Ian Nesbitt and Hannah Smith) finished in 7th. Lots of other good results, including Olga Golovkina's consistent top 10 finishes (7th, 4th and 4th), Chris Burnham's 26th in the classic race, Isaac Hoenig's 8th in the skate race and 8th in the sprint, Hannah Smith's 11th, after leading at the end of lap 1 (see photo), in the classic race and 16th in the sprint, Will McCartney having a great skate race to finish way above his seed on the Massachusetts team, Andrew Reed's 26th in the skate race and many others.

At the end of the weekend CSU's Stock duo of Chris and Corey were the overall champions with Olga 4th and Hannah 11th for girls and Isaac 5th and Jackson 7th for boys!

On top of it all, the weather was magnificent for the 2nd weekend in a row and the Massachusetts waxing team nailed the wax all weekend.
It doesn't get much better than it was this weekend.
